Android Cellphone – Will it Succeed Indonesia?

At the end of 2009, Telkomsel, the biggest wireless operator in Indonesia promoted Android Cellphone via their website, bundled with their service, Simpati. The result was quite not good. Meanwhile, they also promoted IPhone, bundled with their service also, which was highly promoted and have a success.

Later in early 2010, Indosat campaigned Android Cellphone with their service, IM3, joined a lot of computer and cellphone exhibition across Indonesia. In March 2010, Indosat claimed they have one thousand subscribers and another one thousand was on their way after their campaign.

Will android cellphone will succeed Indonesian market? The answer is not there yet. Two thousands android subscriber from Indosat and Telkomsel are very small, comparing to all Indonesian cellphone user that is about a hundred million.

But we never know the future, isn't it?
